Microsoft.Mashup.OleDb.1 provider is not registered issue
A recent Office update seems to be causing issues for some users, with refreshing connections that use the default Power Query connector in Excel using Power Update.
Users who experience this issue usually can find the following message in the Power Update error log:
Failed to connect to the server. Reason: The 'Microsoft.Mashup.OleDb.1' provider is not registered on the local machine.
If you are experiencing this issue please try setting the RefreshEachConnection setting to False in C:\Program Files\PowerPlanner\Power Update\PQRefresh.exe.config (copy the file to desktop, change the setting in notepad, save it, and copy it back). When this setting is turned on, Power Update does a Refresh All on the Excel workbook instead of Refreshing connections individually.
In this case please also make sure that the Data \ Queries and connections \ Connection ... \ Properties \ Usage \ Refresh this connection using Refresh All setting is turned on in the Excel workbook for data connections that you'd like to refresh.
